The more a woman knows about heart disease, the better. Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year — more than all cancers combined. Fortunately, we can change that, because 80 percent of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action.                                 Prep Time: 10 minutes Ingredients:  Apples of your choice Ground cinammon Directions: Preheat oven to 225 degrees F.  Slice apples 1/8 inch thk. Place apple slices in a single layer on parchment paper, and sprinkle ground cinammon on top.  Slice apples 1/8 inch thick. Place slices in a single layer and bake for 1 hour. Flip, and bake for one more hour.

                          Prep time: 6 minutes Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups oats 1/2 cup walnuts 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips 1/3 cup nut butter or nut butter alternative 1/3 cup honey Directions: Mix oats, walnuts, and mini chocolate chips in a bowl, set aside. In another bowl, mix nut butter and honey. Pour mixture over the oats to combine. Form into one-inch balls and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes before serving.    Want more snack ideas?                                       Prep time:  5 minutes Ingredients: Plain yogurt Blueberries Cinammon Directions: Place your blueberries in a mixing bowl. Add about 1/4 cup of yogurt and gently mix. Add a dash of cinammon and mix again, adding yogurt as necessary to ensure all the blueberries are coated with yogurt. Place the coated blueberries on a tray covered with parchment paper and freeze for 1 hour. Enjoy any time!   Want more snack ideas?
